MK7 Auto 1.4 Transmission warning

Hi Everyone
I am new to this sort of thing but hopefully someone will be able to help me. I have a 1.4 2010 auto Titanium which has done 52000 miles. I have recently had an error flag up that says Transmission fault and I get the yellow circle of doom. When you pull away the car will accelerate but not change up a gear, it gets to about 4-5000 revs and then jolts into the next gear. I cannot use the manual gear selection as it will not recognise any gear change. I have tried sharp acceleration etc, it seems to change down the gears. If you drive it slowly it still will not change up, if you put foot to the floor it still does not change gear. I would like some advice as to whether it may be the ECU. I have plugged in a code reader and it is not showing any faults.

Got a 2009 1.4 Titanium same as you and mine does exactly the same with gears. If you find out what the problem is please let me know.

Was it a generic code reader? If so it is likely to only read the engine ECU.

It would be worth getting it scanned with a ford diagnostic machine if possible.
