Got the car from the dealer back today to have one of dashboard lights replaced and also to have the rattle checked. They couldn't hear it and told me to get back once it gets worse...

Also developed a rattle on the nearside dashboard, the cars only 3 months old! It was driving my crazy, so I eased the glovebox out to have a little look behind, I couldn't see anything obvious.

However since then the rattle is not continuous and when it does happen isn't as loud or annoying.

There was a wire hanging down a bit behind the glovebox, I didn't pay too much attention to it, but it would seem that that was causing the rattle.

The rattle no sounds more like something bouncing off the back of the glovebox plastic.

When I've got time, I'll have another look and report back.
