Water Leak

Post by zughdi »

Hi Guys

I drive a Ford Fiesta 2009 model. I have a water leak at the pipe that is connected from the radiator to the water bottle, see attached pics  The water leaks whenever the car is parked. Every morning I have to top up about a mug of water in the bottle.

The other problem I have now is that I'm starting to hear a squeaky noise coming from the engine.

Any ideas what the problem could be?

Try replacing the hose clip, when you do check that pipe is not damaged at all.

Could you post a video of the noise?

Looks like that pipe has been bodged up before as my pipe has no hose clips on it.
I'd buy a new pipe from Ford.

Squeaking noise will be coolant trapped on auxiliary belt.

yup, agreed, bodged it should be a solid continuous pipe with quick release at the end...£20 or there abouts, common problem
