DAB Tuning Issue

Hi guys. I've only just started using the DAB function (rather than the FM band) on the Sony system in my 2011 Titanium. The sound is great (much better than FM) but I'm having issues. Whenever I choose a different preset DAB station, the screen shows "Seeking..." and takes ages to lock on to the station and then sometimes reverts back to Seeking. Sometimes it doesn't lock on at all and just remains silent saying "Seeking...". Another station keeps flitting between DAB and it's FM equivalent. I've read on the net that sometimes the DAB antenna can be faulty or a loose connection??? Has anyone had the same experience with their DAB system, is the antenna issue real and, if so, where on earth is the DAB antenna?

Thanks for your help.

Hi guys. Just an update to this issue......
I've been looking online and I think I need a DAB aerial! Apparently, a DAB aerial has an outer wire spiraling around the normal frequency aerial. However mine just looks like a standard aerial (even though the car is a Titanium and has the Sony DAB unit fitted???) Does anyone else have a DAB system and, if so, does your aerial have the spiral around it? I want to be sure before buying one.

Cheers,
Lee

Just an update, my aerial is "normal" and I sorted my DAB out the other day, it's not exactly obvious on how to tune it but I got there in the end.

I selected the first block, picked 'manual', moved the option to the 11D block (I knew the station I wanted was on 11D) and if left to it's own devices it would find Talksport, what you then have to do is to tell it to search that block by pressing the service (I think it says service, it could say seek or scan - its the left hand option assigned to the button) It will then find all the stations in that block
