I think it all depends on who you get it done by.
Mine was done by ChipsAway for £120, which came with a lifetime guarantee if the tints develop any problems (turns purple, starts cracking etc)
It all comes down to if it's done by a professional, what quality of tint they use, if it's a mobile unit (strongly not recommended), or done in a airtight area.
You pay for quality and peace of mind essentially.

Long time since I've updated this thread, but there's not really been much going on with the car.

I got some chrome valve stem covers, which are a nice little finishing touch.

Image

I also got some new car mats which are fitted for the Mk7 Fiesta - huge improvement on my last ones which were an Aldi job!

Hopefully there will be some more steady progress in the coming weeks.

Also, I was at the RallyCross event at Knockhill last Sunday, and the 'Best Buy' Mk7 Fiesta is just a rocket! So incredibly fast!

Small update: I got a private reg for my 18th birthday, and it is now on the car. The reg is 'JMR 887' and as soon as the weather is decent I'll get some decent photos up.

Looking to get the rest of my bulbs done, DMBs and tax disc holder done in the next few weeks.

Also starting to save the pennies up for a Zetec S roof spoiler; anyone able to put an exact figure on how much it'll cost me?

Happy birthday for whenever it was
All those little things will enhance the looks a lot more than you realise :)
It all depends really, if you get one from a breakers like I did, will be around 100-120 incl p+p, or if you get a replica it's around 130, or if you get a brand new one it's around 180-200.

Here's the latest then...

The private reg has been on the car for a few weeks now; totally love it!

This afternoon I managed to get the DMBs put on.

And finally, a few days ago I got my new tax disc holder fitted.

I'm really pleased with how the car is shaping up, it's looking excellent now. Hopefully I'll get some money at Christmas which will be invested in the remaining bulbs for the headlights (sidelights, main beam and possibly chrome indicator bulbs) as well as white LED bulbs for above the rear number plate. As I said before, I'm also looking into getting a Zetec S spoiler.

Comments, criticisms and suggestions welcome!
